Ben Affleck’s Child Announces Gender Transition At Grandfather’s Funeral

Ben Affleck and ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s 15-year-old daughter, Seraphina Rose, revealed she is transgender during a memorial service for her grandfather at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, West Virginia.

During the funeral event, Seraphina addressed attendees as she was set to read from the Book of Proverbs.

“Hello, my name in Fin Affleck,” she said, spotting a short boyish haircut as well as a black suit, white shirt and black tie.

“Better is a little with righteousness than a large income with injustice,” the teenager read further.

Seraphina’s announcement that she changed her name to Fin comes after paparazzi captured a picture of her hugging Garner at a school bus stop in LA. In the picture, she was seen carrying a backpack with the embroidery, “Fin.”

Her gender and new name reveal at the memorial was followed by various reactions on social media, with the Libs of TikTok account, writing, “Ben Affleck’s young daughter just changed her name and is now identifying as trans. Jennifer Lopez’s daughter also recently came out as nonbinary.”

Seraphina would be the second child in the Garner household to forsake their biological gender. His daughter with current wife Jennifer Lopez, Emme Maribel Miniz also identifies as a “nonbinary,” a decision supported by the actor-parents.

Lopez herself addressed Emme as “them” and “they” during a surprise joint performance at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala in June 2022.

Speaking to the audience as in a video on TikTok, the actress said, “The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this, and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t. So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey. They cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time. So if you will indulge me.”

The Affleck kids are not the Hollywood kids who have had a gender transition in an industry where gender confusion is fast becoming a celebrated anomaly.

Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union backed Wade’s child with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches in his desire to transition from a biological male named Zion to a female who renamed himself as Zaya. While Funches sued Wade in an attempt to stop the gender transition until the child was 18 years, a court ruled that Wade could legally change Zion’s name and gender.

Annette Bening and Warren Beatty’s eldest child, a female, transitioned to a male in 2012 and went from Kathlyn Elizabeth to Stephen Ira.

Jamie Lee Curtis’ biological male child also transitioned to a female in 2020 with the actress’ support. Last year, Curtis called her Oscar statue “they/them” in what she claimed to be a reverence to her transgender daughter, Ruby who used to be Thomas.
