Trump’s repeated criticism of U.S. aid to Ukraine and promises of rapid peace negotiations have sparked concerns among Ukrainian and European allies about Kyiv’s defense capabilities without American backing.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Wednesday, AFP reports, “If you look at the trends of the outgoing U.S. administration, they are fully committed to continuing the war in Ukraine and are doing everything they can to do so.”
Peskov’s comments came in response to America’s announcement of upcoming antipersonnel land mine deliveries to Ukraine, following recent approval of long-range missiles.
During his Brussels visit Wednesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken reassured Ukraine of continued U.S. support throughout Biden’s presidency.
He said: “President Biden has committed to making sure that every dollar we have at our disposal will be pushed out the door between now and January 20th.”
