Biden’s comments hurt Harris’s campaign, confuse supporters

Joe Biden visited Scranton, Pennsylvania on Saturday to campaign for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at a Carpenters Local Union 445 event. However, his actions seem to be undermining Harris’s campaign rather than supporting it.
Earlier in the week, Biden made controversial remarks, referring to millions of Trump supporters as “garbage.” This statement has already negatively impacted Harris’s campaign. During the event in Scranton, Biden made another eyebrow-raising comment about MAGA Republicans, stating, “These are the kinds of guys you like to SMACK in the behind,” while clenching his teeth.
Thanks, Joe Biden for reminding us that you think we are Garbage. I had almost forgotten Biden was President. It shows a lot that the government goes destroying without him doing much of anything.

The “garbage” comment originated from a campaign Zoom call on Tuesday night, coinciding with Harris delivering a speech at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. Biden’s exact words were, “Donald Trump has no character. He doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community… just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage?… The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”
This statement came in response to a comedian’s joke about Puerto Rico being a floating pile of garbage, which had already caused controversy in the Democrat-media complex. Biden’s reaction, however, has escalated the situation by directly insulting Trump supporters.

These recent incidents have raised questions about Biden’s ability to effectively support Harris’s campaign and his approach to addressing political opponents and their supporters.
