Democrat Mistakenly Leaks Harris Running Mate Selection
The Democrats suffered an embarrassing day on Saturday after a major news was inadvertently leaked.
The nation was thrown into a state of shock after a tweet from Mayor Cherelle Parker (D-PHL) suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris had chosen Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as her running mate.
“Proud to be back with so many leaders from across our region supporting @Kamala Harris for President and @JoshShapiroP for VP,” Parker wrote in a tweet that leads many to believe Harris has made her choice.

The tweet also included a video with footage of recent press conferences that ended with the message “Josh Shapiro for Vice President.”
The video quickly went viral with viewers questioning whether Parker had accidentally revealed Shapiro’s victory over other contenders.

However, sources later clarified that the post was not an official announcement but rather an endorsement and show of support for Shapiro. The post was simply a display of Paker’s support for Shapiro, who is being considered for the VP slot.
The Democrat governor has been considered a top contender for the VP position, with reports showing that the Harris campaign has vetted him already.. His selection could be considered a bold move to influence Harris’s chances in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state.
Speculations that Shapiro will be the vice president’s running mate surfaced after he canceled multiple fundraising events over the weekend. However, Shapiro’s campaign has dismissed those speculations while noting that the cancellation of his fundraising events had nothing to do with the VP selection process.
“The Governor’s trip was planned several weeks ago and included several fundraisers for his own campaign committee,” Shapiro’s spokesperson Manuel Bonder said. “His schedule has changed, and he is no longer traveling to the Hamptons this weekend.”
During Shapiro’s election campaign in 2022, the Democrat governor performed very well in the suburban and exurban areas around Philadelphia, winning by a large margin.
The vice president is expected to announce her running mate in the coming days, with both of them set to embark on a tour of seven swing regions, including Philadelphia, western Wisconsin, Detroit, Raleigh, Savannah, Phoenix and Las Vegas.
According to Fox News, Shapiro is in consideration to be Harris’ running mate, alongside several others, including Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Govs. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), Andy Beshear (D-Ky.), and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
