Madonna posted an image of a dessert with the words “F*** TRUMP” written in icing, revealing that she “stuffed my face with this cake” on the night of Harris’s concession. The “Like a Virgin” artist had been a vocal supporter of Harris’s campaign, even returning from Paris to cast her vote for the Vice President.

In her Instagram Story, Madonna questioned the election outcome, writing: “trying to get my head around why a person accused of crimes, who has made controversial statements, was chosen to lead our country because he’s good for the economy?”

This latest display of frustration echoes Madonna’s previous anti-Trump sentiments, including her controversial 2016 statement about “blowing up the White House.” As the reality of Trump’s return to the presidency sets in, the pop star appears to be using comfort food as a coping mechanism for her political disappointment.
