Retired Border Patrol Chief Expose Harris-Biden Cover-Up
Retired Border Patrol chief Rodney Scott revealed to the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) that the Biden-Harris administration allegedly took significant steps to conceal the immigration crisis from the public, echoing claims made by another sector chief.
Aaron Heitke, the former chief patrol agent for the Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector, testified before a House committee on September 18, stating that the White House directed agents to suppress information regarding arrests of special interest aliens (SIAs) and to keep large groups of illegal migrants away from media attention.

Scott, who led Border Patrol during the transition from the Trump administration to the early Biden administration, stated, “There was a gag order put on us literally within minutes of the Biden administration taking office.” He explained that the Customs and Border Protection chief of staff issued orders preventing communication with the public without White House approval. Scott criticized the inaccurate talking points provided by the administration.
Scott’s tenure coincided with Vice President Kamala Harris’ role in addressing the root causes of illegal immigration, yet he noted that Harris never reached out to him during her time as “border czar.” Having been with Border Patrol since the early 1990s, Scott expressed that while restrictions on communication were not uncommon, the level of control exerted by the current administration was unprecedented. “No press conferences were approved, all border tours were shut down,” he stated.
Heitke, during his testimony, discussed the surge in SIAs crossing the border and the lack of permission to discuss this increase. He noted, “Prior to this administration, the San Diego sector averaged 10–15 SIAs per year… Once word was out that the border was far easier to cross, San Diego went to over 100 SIAs in 2022, way over 100 SIAs in 2023 and more than that this year.” He added that he was instructed not to release information regarding these arrests, as the administration aimed to convince the public that there was no threat at the border.

Heitke also revealed measures taken to shield large numbers of migrants from reporters, asserting that they were often moved out of sight to maintain a favorable public image. He stated, “Each time we asked for help in dealing with a new issue, it fell on deaf ears.”
Scott expressed his gratitude for Heitke’s willingness to speak out, highlighting the risks involved for whistleblowers, as it could jeopardize their future employment opportunities. “I think it’s very problematic that the administration is trying to hide so much relevant information from the public,” Scott said. He emphasized the significance of Heitke’s testimony, acknowledging the personal sacrifice it entails.
The Department of Homeland Security and the White House did not respond to requests for comment from the DCNF.
