Trump’s Blames Harris, Biden For ARLINGTON Altercation
Former President Donald Trump attributed the recent controversy surrounding a dispute at Arlington National Cemetery to Vice President Kamala Harris’s “misinformation squad,” turning it into yet another source of tension between the two presidential candidates as the November election approaches.
Reports from NPR and other media outlets indicated that members of Trump’s team were involved in a verbal and physical altercation with a cemetery official over whether they could film or take photos in an area designated for recent U.S. casualties.
This incident occurred during a ceremony commemorating the third anniversary of the Kabul airport bombing, which claimed the lives of 13 U.S. service members during the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan.
On Tuesday, Trump addressed both the cemetery incident and the Afghanistan withdrawal in a post on Truth Social.
“There was no conflict or ‘fighting’ at Arlington National Cemetery last week. It was a made up story by Comrade Kamala and her misinformation squad. She made it all up to make up for the fact that she and Sleepy Joe have BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS for the INCOMPETENT AFGHANISTAN Withdrawal – THE MOST EMBARRASSING DAY IN U.S. HISTORY!!! They should have been at Arlington, not on a beach or studying for a Debate,” Trump said, also referring to President Joe Biden.
An Army spokesperson reported that a female official at Arlington National Cemetery, near Washington, D.C., was “abruptly pushed aside” during the altercation but chose not to press charges.
NPR mentioned that Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung “strongly rejected the notion of a physical altercation” and stated that his team was ready to release footage to counter any defamatory claims.
Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung argued that the staffer who blocked the campaign photographers appeared to be having a "mental health episode." He also specified that the campaign was granted approval to bring a photographer.

In the aftermath of the incident, Democrats in Congress have requested an incident report regarding the clash. Vice President Kamala Harris seized the moment to accuse Trump of orchestrating a “political stunt.”
"That photo was for me." – Gold Star mother Kelly Barnett, who personally invited @realDonaldTrump.@KamalaHarris is a despicable & politically craven dolt who disrespects our military, showing no remorse for her role in the botched Afghanistan withdrawal that cost 13 US lives. https://t.co/LLXhAYnWFx pic.twitter.com/RuvOd51c7K

In response, Gold Star families appeared in videos shared by Trump on social media, expressing that they had invited him to attend and film the event. They also criticized Harris for her political remarks.
Trump acknowledged the backing he received from the Gold Star families, adding in his Tuesday post on Truth Social,
“Thank you to my friends, the GREAT GOLD STAR FAMILIES, for revealing the TRUTH OF A BEAUTIFUL DAY OF HONOR. Could not have been a nicer moment-And there were no fights or problems, only in the heads of those that are destroying our Country! MAGA2024,” the former president wrote.
