Brave store clerk fights off attacker with plunger

A harrowing surveillance video captured a frightening incident at a Florida vape shop when a shirtless man attempted to sexually assault a female employee during a late-night shift.
The courageous victim later shared her story with WTVJ-TV, hoping to empower other survivors to come forward without feeling ashamed.
“I want every girl to know what happened to me, so that if they ever go through something like that, they are able to speak up and just know that it’s not their fault.”
The incident occurred around midnight on November 9th, when the man entered the Miami Springs establishment appearing friendly and conversing with the clerk. The situation quickly turned dangerous when surveillance footage showed him slowly moving behind the counter toward the retreating employee.
The assailant seized her wrists and forcefully pulled her backward despite her pleas of “Please get away, sir!” Using his physical advantage, he dragged her to a back room and covered her face with a shirt.
“He was trying, once again, like I said, touching my [expletive], trying to pull my pants off, and I was just asking him not to do it, please not to do anything to me, and fighting back,” she recounted to WTVJ-TV.
During the struggle, she managed to defend herself by striking him with a toilet plunger while screaming. The assault concluded in the main store area, where the perpetrator finally released her and fled.

“The only thing I had in my head, once again, was that I didn’t want to … get raped,” she explained. “I just wanted to try to save myself as much as I could.”
Authorities are seeking information, requesting witnesses to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
“I want every girl to know what happened to me, so that if they ever go through something like that, they are able to speak up and just know that it’s not their fault,” she emphasized to WTVJ. “It’s not your fault that you have to go through something like that and that there’s people like him out there.”
