Charlamagne Tha God SLAMS Kamala Harris!

Left-wing TV and radio host Charlamagne Tha God criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her lack of media engagement, especially as former President Donald Trump remains highly visible on the campaign trail.

“She does need to do more interviews,” Charlamagne remarked during a conversation with “This Week” anchor Jonathan Karl. The radio host expressed confusion over Harris’s reluctance to participate in unscripted interviews with media outlets that generally support her.

“It’s striking that we really haven’t seen her answer questions yet,” Karl observed, to which Charlamagne responded, “I really don’t know. I mean, it’s the bottom of the ninth inning, right?” He added, “I feel like she should be any and everywhere, you know, having these conversations.”

Charlamagne also noted, “I truly don’t know why she hasn’t done any interviews yet,” pointing out that “Donald Trump is still sucking the air out of the headlines — he keeps headlines going. He’s everywhere. You saw him at the National Association of Black Journalists convention, you saw him on with Adin Ross, he’s going to be on with Elon Musk. He’s always calling in to conservative talk radio, which is one of my biggest issues with the Democratic Party.”

Charlamagne criticized the Democratic Party for not leveraging supportive media as effectively as the right does. “They don’t use the media that supports them the way the right uses the media that supports them,” he said.

In the same interview, Charlamagne acknowledged that there is “a lot of energy” behind Harris’s campaign. “People keep calling this the ‘honeymoon phase.’ I don’t think it’s a honeymoon phase,” he stated. “I just think people haven’t been energized in the Democratic Party in a long time.”

Despite the apparent energy in Harris’s campaign, many believe that part of this momentum comes from her ability to avoid the press, thus limiting opportunities for the public to hear her speak in unscripted settings.

Charlamagne also commented on Harris’s selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, describing it as a “DEI hire.” He pointed out that the Democratic Party has a strong bench, mentioning leaders like Governor Josh Shapiro, Gretchen Whitmer, Wes Moore, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Karl then asked, “What did you think of the Tim Walz pick? You didn’t mention his name just then.”

“I didn’t know him,” Charlamagne laughed, to which Karl replied, “Most of America didn’t know him.”

Charlamagne admitted he was initially disappointed, stating, “We knew she needed a DEI hire. She needed a white male to make America comfortable.”
