Chrissy Teigen Afraid Trump Will Come For Her If He Wins Election
Hollywood star Chrissy Teigen said this week that she is afraid that former President Donald Trump will “come after” if he wins the November election and becomes president again. Teigen shared the fear during an interview on the podcast “On with Kara Swisher,” when she suggested that Trump might hold resentment towards her from when she insulted him years ago.
In a social media post, the model had called the former president “a pussy ass bitch.”
Now, she says, “It’s also kind of scary, because it’s, ‘Oh, he’s aware of me.’”
“What could really happen because of that? We obviously know he’s unhinged but could he actually come after you in other ways? It’s a weird feeling,” she added in the podcast.
John Legend, Teigen’s husband, was with her at the interview. Endorsing President Joe Biden’s reelection bid, he stated, “We’re going to be active. We’re going to the White House on the way home from here and we’re going to support President Biden.”
Teigen went on to acknowledge that her political activism could have some negative impact on her consumer brands.
“When you’re a name attached to your own thing, anything you say or do can affect the company or take it down for who knows how long. [Grocery] stores aren’t used to the world of celebrity partnerships. Paul Newman [with his salad dressing] isn’t going to get in trouble anymore… but if they’ve been saturated with phone calls because I spoke up about health care or women’s rights… it puts a lot of fear into them,” she stated.
Teigen’s podcast follows expressions of fear by left-wing political figures that Trump will seek retribution on them.
Actor Robert De Niro, in March, predicted that Trump “will come looking for me” if he wins in November.
Robert De Niro saying that Trump is a dictator who is going to round up Hollywood liberals like Maher and himself:
"If he wins the election, you won't be on the show anymore. He will come looking for me. There'll be things that happen that none of us can imagine. That what… pic.twitter.com/5Gz3kHowwq— Eric Abbenante (@EricAbbenante) March 9, 2024
Even Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said earlier this month that she was worried Trump might throw her in jail if he gets reelected. On the same podcast Teigen voiced her fears, the New York congresswoman said, “I mean, it sounds nuts, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy threw me in jail. He’s out of his mind. I mean, he did his whole first campaign around ‘lock her up.’ This is his motto.”
“I take him at his word when he says that he’s going to round up people. I take him at his word when he threatens journalists. I take him at his word. I feel like what we saw in his first presidency was an amuse-bouche to what his intentions are. He has learned from his mistakes of appointing professionals, and he will not make that mistake next time,” she added.
