Former U.S. President Obama Issued a Statement Friday Endorsing VP Kamala Harris

Obama’s ENDORSE Kamala Harris for PRESIDENT

In a statement released on Friday morning, former US President Barack Obama supported Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for president in 2024. Days of conjecture about whether he would back her following her anointing by the party were put to rest by this action.

In a joint letter, Obama and the former First Lady Michelle Obama expressed their belief that Harris possesses the “vision, the character, and the strength that this critical moment demands.”

According to BBC reports, the Obamas declared that they were “more thrilled to endorse” Harris and promised to use “everything we can” to help her win.

The couple’s statement read, “We agree with President Biden; choosing Kamala was one of his best decisions.” She can verify it with her resume.

According to them, her track record as the attorney general of California, a senator from the United States, and vice president demonstrated her whole range of abilities.

“But Kamala has more than a resume,” the statement continued. “She has the vision, the character, and the strength that this critical moment demands. There is no doubt in our mind that Kamala Harris has exactly what it takes to win this election and deliver for the American people. At a time when the stakes have never been higher, she gives us all reason to hope.”

According to Breitbart News, the announcement was backed by a well-staged video showing Harris accepting a call from the Obamas, who promised to support her following her coronation after President Joe Biden withdrew.

The call was received by Harris, who is shown answering it while being followed by a Secret Service agent backstage at an event. “We called to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,” the former president said to Harris.

In the video, the vice president exclaims, “Oh my goodness. Michelle, Barack, I am so grateful for this.”

According to ABC News, the Obamas ran separate campaigns for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020, which included sizable gatherings on the final two weekends before Election Day.
