Former White House Aid FREED from PRISON and is Speaking at RNC

Navarro at RNC, FREED from PRISON

After being freed from federal jail in Florida on Wednesday morning, Peter Navarro, a former Trump White House assistant, is getting ready to speak on Wednesday night at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Navarro has been a devoted follower of former President Donald Trump and was sentenced to four months in prison after being found guilty of counts of contempt of Congress. Citing the doctrine of executive privilege, the 75-year-old was convicted after he failed to appear for a deposition with the Democratic-run January 6 committee and refused to furnish them with specific documents.

Navarro, who served as Trump’s director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, has insisted he did nothing illegal and that his targeting stemmed from his affiliation with Trump and his political beliefs.

Before turning himself in to federal authorities in March, he declared, “I’m afraid for this country because this, what they’re doing, should have a chilling effect on every American regardless of their party.” “They can come for you, just as they come for me.”

Chief Justice John Roberts of the Supreme Court denied Navarro’s request to be released from jail while he appealed his case.

As the RNC moves into its third day, Navarro is expected to address on Wednesday at approximately 6:00 p.m. CST.

“The best is not yet over!” On Wednesday, Navarro posted on his X account.

Steve Bannon, a different former Trump White House advisor, is presently incarcerated for four months after being found guilty on comparable offenses.

In addition, Bannon was found guilty of disobeying a subpoena issued by the January 6 committee in 2022, which required him to appear in court and provide specific papers to the committee. A federal court ordered Bannon to report to prison on July 1 following a protracted appeals process.

Trump has harshly blasted the Biden administration while on the campaign road, claiming that it has turned the Justice Department into a weapon against him and his backers. The former president declared that all legal actions against him need to be terminated after a judge rejected Jack Smith’s case against him regarding his handling of confidential data.

He went on, “All of these political attacks against Joe Biden’s political opponent, ME, are part of an Election Interference conspiracy orchestrated by the Democratic Justice Department.” “Let’s unite to stop the weaponization of the legal system and restore greatness to America!”
