Harris Consistently Commends Pastor Who Blamed America for 9/11

HARRIS Praises Pastor BLAMING AMERICA

At a 9/11 memorial service, a prominent San Francisco preacher and mentor to Vice President Kamala Harris, a future Democratic presidential candidate, condemned the US.

Rev. Amos Brown, third Baptist Church pastor and San Francisco NAACP president, said Harris called him after President Biden dropped his re-election bid in an interview Harris begged Brown to pray for her and her husband throughout her strongest campaign.

Having known Harris and her family for almost two decades and was one of Harris’ 2021 inaugural guests, Brown may hurt her candidacy with his anti-Americanism and remarks. Harris praised Brown for being “on this journey with me every step of the way.”

“America, America, what did you do – either intentionally or unintentionally – in the world order, in Central America, in Africa where bombs are still blasting?” After 9/11, Free Beacon reported Brown’s comments.

“America, what did you do in the global warming conference when you did not embrace the smaller nations?” said. “America, what did you do two weeks ago when I stood at the world conference on racism, when you wouldn’t show up?”

Nancy Pelosi, the sole Democrat, blasted Brown.

“The act of terrorism on Sept. 11 put those people outside the order of civilized behavior, and we will not take responsibility for that,” says.

He left Mark Bingham’s family’s funeral, saying, “I thought this was a day of remembrance and not a political event.”

“These were innocent people, several of whom gave their lives for the country and to save other innocent people,” he said of Bingham, who crashed Flight 93 into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The San Francisco Chronicle said Brown’s statements “set a lot of people’s teeth on edge” and “stunned” lawmakers.

The 2008 Jeremiah Wright preaching campaign may prompt political and media investigations into Brown’s past. Obama was condemned for praising Wright’s “Not God bless America, God damn America” speech.

Harris consistently praised Brown as VP.

Show me, Dr. Brown. Harris told the 2022 NAACP National Convention, “He backed my political program 20 years ago. Our leader. I appreciate everything, Dr. Brown.”

Harris highlighted her longtime relationship with Brown at the 2022 Baptist Convention.

“For two decades now, at least, I have turned to you,” said. “I faced him. Your advice helped me through challenging times. You’ve always influenced me. Rev. Brown, thanks for being YOU.”

Harris wrote, “It is always an honor to spend time with my pastor, Rev. Dr. Amos Brown of the Third Baptist Church of San Francisco,” on a 2023 Instagram photo of them embracing. “He remains a source of inspiration to me always.”

We appreciate my pastor, Amos Brown, joining us. “Let’s start our conversation,” Harris said faith leaders in a 2021 virtual roundtable.

The 2013 March on Washington anniversary photo showed her, her sister Maya, and Brown at the Lincoln Memorial. She shared another Brown photo in 2008.

Brown was “excited, encouraged, and ecstatic” that Biden chose Harris for 2020 VP and “humbled” by her church membership.
