Israeli Hostage’s Relative Confident After Trump Issues Hamas Warning
Israeli Families OPTIMISTIC After HAMAS Warning
Families of Israeli hostages are frantic for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make an announcement during his speech to Congress on Wednesday about an agreement to free their loved ones because they worry political unrest in the US would divert attention from their disappearance.
Udi Goren, 42, stated he is certain the captive families will continue to receive a great deal of bipartisan support if Trump wins the election. Tal Haimi’s body has been kept by Hamas terrorists in Gaza since they killed him on October 7.
According to Goren, “there is no doubt where Trump stands on this issue, especially with the statement he just made.”
During his acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, former President Donald Trump delivered a forceful warning to Hamas, threatening the terror organization with “a very big price” if the hostages were not released.
The US, Qatar, and Egypt-led cease-fire negotiations, according to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, are “inside the 10-yard line and driving toward the goal line” of an agreement that would include the release of the hostages.
“At the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado, there are still some issues that need to be negotiated and resolved,” Blinken stated. “We’re currently carrying out precisely that.”
Although Goren praised President Biden for his efforts in securing the release of the hostages, he acknowledged that he is concerned that the president’s hazy political future may divert attention away from the hostage situation.
The Biden administration has insisted that the hostages’ release is crucial, but Goren expressed fear that if the US political system undergoes further turmoil, attention to this issue may be diverted.
All we want is for [Tal] to return so that we may bury him and go on with our lives. We’re still in October 7,” the distraught cousin acknowledged.
Former prisoner Aviva Siegel, 63, said she saw her American husband Keith, 65, being tortured by Hamas. Keith is currently being held captive in Gaza.
Haimi’s relative claims that since his assassination on October 7, Hamas terrorists have been holding his body in Gaza.
“They treated him so horribly… He was hungry, assaulted, and subjected to torture, according to Siegel. Our mattresses were yoga mats. They would play games like shining a [flashlight] in your eyes in the middle of the night.
Omer’s life is in danger due to his colitis, according to his distressed mother.
“It’s extremely severe and puts his life in danger; it feels like he has a grenade in his stomach.” She told The Post, “I anticipate Bibi Netanyahu to strike a deal and bring them back.”
She clarified, “I’m not a politician,” in response to Trump’s threat to Hamas. “However, everyone knows that the hostages must be freed immediately.”
