House Speaker Mike Johnson is set to welcome tech mogul Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to Capitol Hill on December 5, where they’ll engage with Republican congressional leadership on matters of government reform.

Johnson announced the upcoming meeting through his X platform account, stating: “Looking forward to hosting @elonmusk and @VivekGRamaswamy next week on Capitol Hill to discuss major reform ideas to achieve regulatory rescissions, administrative reductions, and cost savings—& revive the principle of limited government.”

The gathering follows President-elect Trump’s recent appointment of both Musk and Ramaswamy to spearhead DOGE, a non-governmental initiative focused on streamlining bureaucracy and reducing government expenditure.

In preparation for their ambitious plan to implement substantial federal reductions, the Tesla chief executive and the former presidential contender have been conducting staff meetings and consulting with various experts in the field.

The initiative has generated considerable enthusiasm among Republican lawmakers in Congress, with Speaker Johnson among those expressing strong support for the endeavor.
