Natalie Portman finds new love after divorce

Natalie Portman has reportedly entered a new chapter in her romantic life, finding companionship with French musician Tanguy Destable, as confirmed by People magazine.

The romance between the 43-year-old Oscar winner and Destable, 44, who performs under the stage name Tepr, was initially unveiled by French publication Voici. The magazine claims to possess exclusive photographs documenting their relationship.

This development marks Portman’s first known romantic involvement since finalizing her divorce from Benjamin Millepied earlier this year. While rumors circulated last May about a potential connection with actor Paul Mescal after they were spotted sharing laughs outside a north London cocktail establishment, sources clarified they were merely friends. Mescal has since been romantically linked to singer Gracie Abrams.

The timing of this new relationship follows what sources described to People as a challenging period for Portman. “Natalie is coming out of a really tough and painful year but she’s come out the other side of it stronger and is finding joy in her family, friends and work,” they revealed in March 2024.

Her previous marriage ended following allegations that Millepied, 47, had engaged in an affair with 25-year-old climate activist Camille Étienne. News of their marital troubles first emerged in June 2023, with Page Six reporting Portman’s efforts to salvage their relationship.

During that time, a source informed Page Six, “They have not split and are trying to work things out. Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family.”

Before their official separation, the former couple demonstrated their commitment to co-parenting by spending time with their children, Aleph, 11, and Amalia, 8. Meanwhile, Millepied has also moved forward, having been spotted in October 2024 sharing a kiss with an unidentified woman.
