Trump CRUSHES Harris

Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, on Saturday via Truth Social, accusing her of copying his promise to exempt service workers’ tips from taxes if re-elected.

Trump had initially made this pledge at a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 9—two months before Harris announced a similar position at her own Las Vegas rally on Saturday and six weeks before she stepped in for President Joe Biden in the 2024 race.

“Kamala Harris, whose ‘Honeymoon’ period is ENDING, and is starting to get hammered in the Polls, just copied my NO TAXES ON TIPS Policy. The difference is, she won’t do it, she just wants it for Political Purposes! This was a TRUMP idea – She has no ideas, she can only steal from me. Remember, Kamala has proposed the LARGEST TAX INCREASE IN HISTORY – It won’t happen. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!” Trump posted.

Trump further criticized Harris for lacking originality, calling her a “copycat” for adopting his policy proposal. The former president insisted that Harris was promoting the policy for “political purposes” and had no intention of actually implementing it.

In another post, Trump questioned, “How long will it be before Kamala Harris comes out with another ‘TRUMP’ policy like, ‘No Taxes will be paid by our Senior Citizens on Social Security?’ She’s looking really bad now! Everyone is waiting to see what idea, or policy of mine, she will copy next.”

Republican Senator J.D. Vance, the GOP vice-presidential nominee, also weighed in, questioning why Harris hasn’t implemented the “no tax on tips” policy, given her current role as vice president.

“Given that she runs the government, why doesn’t she do it now?” Vance wrote on X.

In February 2023, the Biden-Harris administration introduced the Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (SITCA) proposal, an IRS initiative aimed at improving “tip reporting compliance” on employment tax returns by cracking down on how tips are reported.
