Trump- ‘Harris Went Full Communist’

Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump bashed Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris over the weekend after she introduced her economic policy agenda, which included price controls.

Harris faced significant backlash for her agenda, including criticism from CNN and The Washington Post Editorial Board. An economic columnist noted that Harris was attempting to shift the blame for inflation onto big business rather than acknowledging that the inflation crisis was triggered by the policies of the Biden-Harris administration.

“Kamala went full-communist. She went full-communist,” Trump said during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. “She wants to destroy our country. After causing catastrophic inflation, comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls. You saw that, never worked before. Never ever worked. This is the Maduro plan, Venezuela, Maduro plan of the old Soviet Union. They tried it. How did the Soviet Union work out? It became Russia. It will cause rationing, hunger, and skyrocketing prices, just like their Inflation Reduction Act caused one of the great scams of all time. They got it approved with a beautiful name, Inflation Reduction, because inflation under their system has been so bad, it’s gone up much more than 50%, you know they say 30%, 40%, 50% … people are being devastated. They’re being devastated, but it’s gone way up, way up.”

The former president and Republican 2024 presidential nominee later pointed out that Harris, in a speech yesterday, essentially acknowledged that prices have risen during the Biden-Harris administration. He added that her speechwriter might get fired for allowing that admission to be included in her remarks.

Trump also blasted Kamala Harris during a rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend, targeting her involvement in the Biden-Harris administration’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

Trump referenced the chaotic withdrawal in light of the Taliban recently showcasing billions of dollars worth of U.S. military equipment on the three-year anniversary of Afghanistan’s collapse.

“Two days ago, I watched a parade of the Taliban in Afghanistan,” Trump said. “Did you see the Taliban where they were showing all of our equipment that they took from America? $85 billion worth, two days ago, celebrating three years of the defeat of America by these guys. For 18 months, we didn’t have one American soldier killed in Afghanistan. And then I left and this bunch of incompetent people took over, and it all started up again.”
