According to a recent Rasmussen Reports poll conducted exclusively for Breitbart News, Donald Trump’s popularity has surpassed that of the Walt Disney Company. The survey reveals Disney’s current favorable rating stands at 49 percent, while 43 percent view the company unfavorably.
These numbers paint a surprising picture when compared to Trump’s current standings. The RealClearPolitics average shows Trump maintaining an 11-point lead in favorability ratings. Specific polling data from Insider Advantage indicates Trump enjoys a 50 percent favorable rating, while Harvard-Harris places him even higher at 54 percent.

The unfavorable ratings tell a similar story. Trump’s numbers from Insider Advantage and Harvard-Harris show 42 and 40 percent respectively, both lower than Disney’s 43 percent unfavorable rating.
While Disney’s net positive rating might seem acceptable at first glance, these figures are particularly concerning for an entertainment company. Unlike Trump, who operates in the inherently divisive realm of politics and has faced continuous criticism from establishment institutions for nearly a decade, Disney traditionally maintained an apolitical, family-friendly image.
The company’s current ratings represent a significant shift from its historical position as a universally beloved entertainment brand. This transformation coincided with Disney’s recent decisions to incorporate more diverse content in their programming, including LGBTQ+ storylines in children’s content, and their involvement in educational policy discussions.

The entertainment giant’s approach to both the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, particularly regarding their handling of social issues around race, gender, and sexuality, has also impacted public perception. These changes mark a departure from Disney’s traditional role as a neutral purveyor of family entertainment.
The comparison between Trump’s and Disney’s current favorability ratings highlights a remarkable shift in public opinion, particularly given Disney’s previous status as one of entertainment’s most universally appreciated brands.
The data suggests that Disney’s recent strategic decisions have significantly influenced public perception of the company, resulting in favorability ratings that now trail behind those of a polarizing political figure.
