The Left is PRAISING Biden’s Winning (?) RECORD?
Dems Have MESSAGE for GOP
Democrats have a message for GOP delegates, officials, activists, and supporters as they prepare for day two of the RNC in Milwaukee.
In a media campaign that was originally shared with Fox News, the Democratic National Committee is praising what they refer to as President Biden’s “winning record” on the day that former President Trump was formally nominated as the Republican Party’s nominee for 2024.
Eight brand-new billboards in Milwaukee will be unveiled by the Democratic National Committee on Tuesday, encouraging residents of Wisconsin to “Vote Joe” and highlighting the fact that during Joe Biden’s three and a half years in the White House, he has “created more than 15 million new good paying jobs, lowered costs on health care and prescription drugs, and worked to strengthen our democracy, not tear it down.” The 81-year-old president’s “Dark Brandon” is a satirical portrayal of himself that his political team uses to highlight his policy accomplishments. It was inspired by his opponents and appropriated by his campaign. “Vote for Joe, restore Roe,” proclaims a billboard with an abortion theme.
Another billboard reads, “Democracy is on the ballot folks,” while another exhorts people to “Get on board folks, we’re lowering prescription drug costs.” Take a stand with Joe!” Prior to the commencement of the GOP convention, the Democratic National Committee erected billboards around Milwaukee, Wisconsin, highlighting what they claimed were Trump’s shortcomings in Wisconsin, a crucial battleground state, throughout his presidency.
However, following Saturday’s attempted assassination attempt on the former president at a Trump rally in western Pennsylvania, those billboards were taken down, along with all of the Biden campaign’s national TV advertisements. “The DNC is highlighting Joe Biden’s winning platform and policies that are delivering for the American people,” stated Abhi Rahman, deputy director of communications.
Brandon is coming to Milwaukee to provide a strong platform for a second term that starkly contrasts what Wisconsinites are witnessing this week at the RNC stage: reversing Roe, cutting spending, defending Social Security, and defending our democracy. We want to make sure people are aware of this.” The billboards were unveiled the day after Trump selected Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, a staunch ally of the former president in the Senate and an advocate of the America First program, to be his running mate.
During the first day of the convention, Rahman accused Trump, Vance, and the GOP of highlighting “unpopular and extreme policies that would rip fundamental rights away from women and leave working families behind.”
