President Biden Now Wants To Meet 7th Grandchild

President Joe Biden finally wants to meet his four-year-old granddaughter, Navy Joan Roberts.

Per an NBC News report, sources close to the matter revealed that Biden is eager to meet Navy Joan and plans to get rid of speculations that he was ignoring a vulnerable member of the Biden family tree.

The president’s political identity has often been linked to him being a devoted “family man” who maintained close relationships with his children and grandchildren. However, Navy Joan has not enjoyed the same grandfather privileges the others have as she has been largely ignored until recently.

The president had refrained from discussing Navy Joan’s existence until last Friday when he conveyed the Bidens’ commitment to working together with Navy Joan’s mother to foster a relationship that is in the child’s best interests while respecting her privacy.

Speaking to PEOPLE, the president had said, “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward.”

“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter. Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy,” he added.

While the delay in acknowledgment has been attributed to Biden following Hunter’s lead amid his legal dispute with Navy Joan’s mother, Lunden Roberts, many have questioned the excuse.

Among them is CNN contributor Scott Jennings who highlighted that usually, grandparents step up when a father fails to take responsibility for their child. Jennings expressed his frustration, stating that the president had ignored his own granddaughter for four long years.

Through this, it is important to note that a child support agreement has been established which includes not using the Biden name.
