Snoop Dogg Professes Love And Respect For Trump

Former President Donald Trump appears to have gained a new supporter in rapper Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg, who has voiced criticism of Trump and his supporters multiple times, said in a new interview that he loves and respects the former president.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, he said, “Donald Trump?…. He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”

Michael “Harry-O” Harris is an associate of Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight as well as the founder of the label’s parent company, Godfather Entertainment, to whom Snoop was signed at some point. Harris was in prison for over three decades having been convicted on charges of conspiracy and attempted murder.

However, he was granted a pardon by Trump in 2021 as one of his final moves in office. At the time, Snoop Dogg praised Trump for his decision, saying, “I love what they did. That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out.”

However, Snoop Dogg has not always had good words for the former president, as he often shelled criticism at him during his tenure in the White House. He even depicted Trump as a clown in his music video for his song, “Lavender” back in 2017. In the video, he also shot Trump in the head.

Years later, in 2020, he was seen on video blasting Trump and his supporters. Donald Trump is a f—ing weirdo. If you voted for him, I don’t have no problem with that. But if you’re still with him, f— you,” he said in the video shared by XXL Magazine.

Snoop Dogg has been known for an outspoken stance in politics. In 2012, he garnered a lot of attention when he weighed in on the 2012 presidential election between former President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

In an Instagram post, he put together a list explaining why he would not be supporting Romney but would be voting for Obama instead.

His reasons for choosing not to support Romney included, “He a white nigga,” “He looks like he says ‘nigger’ all the time,” “He always interrupts and talks over people like he’s better than them” and “he reminds me of ever boss I ever hated.” He also added, “This muthafucka’s name is Mitt” three times.

His reasons for supporting Obama included, “He a black nigga “He ad cool yo,” “That nigga look like he can fight,” He’s BFFs with Jay-Z,” “He smokes Newports,” and “He’s hugged Beyonce before and sniffed her neck.”
