Texas Congressman Slams Supreme Court For Siding With Biden Admin

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is not having the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to side with the Biden administration’s fight to stop Texas’ efforts to secure its border with Mexico.

The lawmaker took to his “Verdict” podcast to slam the higher court’s ruling this week that gave the Biden administration to remove or cut through sections of razor wire placed by the state of Texas to stop the inflow of illegal immigrants pouring into the state from Mexico.

According to him, the Supreme Court’s decision is “a horrible” one which has him feeling “angry” and disturbed.

“Fact number one: we are seeing an invasion at our southern border — 9.6 million illegal immigrants have crossed in under Joe Biden. It is deliberate. He wants this to happen. It is the worst illegal immigration in our nation’s history,” he pointed out.

Noting that the decision was largely made by the Court’s left-wing justices, including Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett, Cruz stated that the justices allowed the federal government to trump the states without understanding and considering the crisis at the southern border.

“I think it is a real problem that John Roberts is a creature of Washington. I don’t think he understands what is happening at the southern border. I think Amy Coney Barrett is a law professor from Indiana. I don’t think she has any understanding of what’s happening at the southern border,” he said.

Some justices, which include, Justice Samuel Alito, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Neil Gorsuchn, did not side with the administration.

As for the justices that sided with the administration, Cruz thinks they do not fully realize
“how horrifically bad it is, how lawless it is, what the Biden administration is doing.”

“There’s never been a president who refuses to follow the law like Joe Biden did,” he stated, adding that Biden is knowingly causing a problem he is not willing to fix at the border.

“He wants more illegal immigrants. And I said, for Pete’s sakes, Biden is actively litigating against the state of Texas, to stop Texas from securing the border. That’s what they want,” he said, adding, “They want this invasion. And that’s exactly what the Biden administration is doing, with the emphatic support of essentially every Democrat member of the Senate and every Democrat member of the House.”

The Supreme Court on Monday ruled that Texas should grant federal border agents access to its border. While the order did not explain the court’s decisions, it vacated an injunction from the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that previously prevented federal agents from cutting miles of concertina wire Texas officials deployed to secure the border, authorizing the administration to tear down the wire.
