Biden Admin Authorized Deadly Force For Trump Mar-a-Lago Raid, Backlash Ensues
It was revealed this week that the Biden administration’s DOJ authorized the use of lethal force during the FBI’s raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida in August 2022 as part of an investigation into his retention of classified materials.
The revelation has attracted outrage among conservatives even though the FBI has explained that the order was standard protocol in raids.
The conservative Heritage Foundation said that the planned use of deadly force during the raid should get Americans “outraged” and “shaken to the bone” regardless of their political leaning.
Kevin Roberts, the president of the conservative think tank that promotes and develops conservative public policies, issued a statement on Wednesday, saying, “Americans of all political leanings should be outraged, and frankly shaken to the bone, by the latest details concerning the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago.”
“President Biden’s Attorney General gave the FBI the green light to use deadly force in storming the home of a former and potential future president without advance notice and without regard to who might have been in the residence,” Roberts added.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) addressed the issue on his podcast on Wednesday, saying, “So, they’re anticipating Secret Service may actively resist the FBI, and they’re prepared to engage. And they’re prepared to engage with an order that explicitly authorizes deadly force. Like, what in the hell?”
As for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), the authorization to use deadly force equals a plan to assassinate Trump.
She made her assertions clear in a post on X, writing, The Biden DOJ and FBI were planning to assassinate Pres Trump and gave the green light. Does everyone get it yet???!!!!”

Trump himself reacted to the revelations on Tuesday in a post to Truth Social. “WOW! I just came out of the Biden Witch Hunt Trial in Manhattan, the ‘Icebox,’ and was shown Reports that Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, in their Illegal and UnConstitutional Raid of Mar-a-Lago, AUTHORIZED THE FBI TO USE DEADLY (LETHAL) FORCE,” the Republican presidential candidate wrote.
“NOW WE KNOW, FOR SURE, THAT JOE BIDEN IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO DEMOCRACY. HE IS MENTALLY UNFIT TO HOLD OFFICE — 25TH AMENDMENT!” he added.
The Trump campaign has blasted media outlets that have tried to justify the authorization of the use of deadly force against the president’s political opponent.
Speaking to Fox News on Wednesday, Trump Campaign National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “This is a sickening attempt to run cover for Joe Biden who is the most corrupt president in history and a threat to our democracy. The good news is, Americans don’t buy the pro-Democrat, Election Interfering pro-Biden propaganda the Washington Post is constantly selling, and that is why President Trump continues to dominate Crooked Joe Biden in the polls.”
Trump was hit with 37 felony charges in the case, including conspiracy to obstruct justice, willful retention of national defense information and false statements. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
