Biden’s 2019 Attack Against Trump Used Against Him Now

An attack President Joe Biden hurled at former President Donald Trump in 2019 has now come back to haunt him five years later. Back then, Biden had claimed that Trump deserved to be impeached over a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in which Trump suggested that he would withhold promised financial and military aid if some conditions were not met.

In Biden’s own words: President Trump withheld Congressionally appropriated aid to Ukraine unless they granted him a political favor. It’s the definition of quid pro quo. This is no joke — Trump continues to put his own personal, political interests ahead of the national interest. He must be impeached.”

The president’s tweet has now resurfaced after he said on Wednesday that he would withhold military aid already promised to Israel and approved by Congress if the Jewish nation carries out its planned invasion of Rafah.

According to critics, Biden should also get impeached over his threat to Israel.

“Joe Biden endorses his own impeachment,” Red State’s Bonchie pointed out.

The Federalist’s Sean Davis reframed Biden’s 2019 tweet about Trump to match his current situation.

“Joe Biden withheld Congressionally appropriated aid to Israel unless they granted him a political favor. It’s the definition of quid pro quo. This is no joke — Biden continues to put his own personal, political interests ahead of the national interest. He must be impeached,” he wrote.

The situation is more than just banter as Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) told Fox News on Thursday that he has begun preparing impeachment articles against Biden.

“The House has no choice but to impeach President ‘Quid pro Joe’ Biden. As Vice President, Biden was caught threatening to withhold funding and aid to Ukraine unless they fired the attorney general investigating Burisma, a company financially benefiting his son Hunter, not to mention the 10% share for ‘the big guy’ himself,” he said arguing that Biden forcing Israel into a “quid pro quo” using a promised and approved aid is no different from Trump’s handling of Ukraine aid which got him impeached by Democrats.

“Now, Joe Biden is pressuring Israel, our biggest ally in the Middle East, by pausing their funding that has already been approved in the House, if they don’t stop all operations with Hamas. It’s a very clear message, ‘this for that,’” he continued, adding, “These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats. The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we’re drawing up articles of impeachment now.”
