Tim Scott Demands Biden’s Drug Test Before Debate

A Republican senator has asked President Joe Biden to submit to a drug test before he engages former President Donald Trump in a debate.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) made this call during an interview on Fox News when he was asked if Biden should be subjected to a drug test before the debate. In response, Scott said, “The truth of the matter is if you saw the State of the Union and you watched that performance, it was surreal. There was something going on, and if we could find the truth of what it was, we’re all better off.”

“If it takes artificial stimulation to make the President of the United States perform, how often can he do that?” he added.

Scott’s remarks come after Trump called for Biden to be tested for drugs during a rally in Minnesota.

“I just want to debate this guy … and I’m going to demand a drug test too, by the way. I am. No, I really am,” Trump stated, adding that he does not want a situation in which Biden is as drugged up for the debate as he reportedly was during his State of the Union address in early March.

“I don’t want him coming in like the State of the Union. He was high as a kite. I said is that Joe up there? … And by the end of the evening … he was exhausted, right? No, we’re going to demand a drug test,” the Republican presidential candidate said.

Aside Scott and Paul, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) also demanded that Biden be subjected to a drug test before the debate between the two presidential candidates.

“I think that we need to. We’re talking about someone who has the ability to launch nukes,” she said, also addressing the reason House Republicans are trying to get their hands on audio recordings of Biden’s interview with former special counsel Robert Hur.

“And frankly, Rep. Van Drew actually made a great point in that. The reason why we’re fighting so hard to hear these actual audio recordings of the president during his interview is that we need to ensure that this individual is essentially capable of not just leading the country, but he can make those tough decisions. And frankly, I’m not trying to be funny but we don’t necessarily trust him to do that right now,” she added.
