‘We Can’t Chance This’: Haley Says Of Potential Democratic Presidential Win

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and GOP Republican candidate, has voiced strong concerns about the potential presidency of Vice President Kamala Harris if Democrats secure victory in 2024.

In an interview with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo, Haley cautioned that the idea of Harris becoming president should be scary enough to “send a chill up every American’s spine” and make them ensure the left does not win the coming election.

“My concern is we cannot have Kamala Harris as president. We can’t chance this. We have to make sure that we have a new generational leader that’s going to bring in not only Republicans, but we’re going to pull back the independents,” said the GOP nominee hopeful who believes that “anybody is better than a President Kamala Harris.”

She added, “We’re going to bring back in the suburban women, we’re going to bring in Hispanics. We’re going to bring in the Asian community. We have to make sure we win this, because the thought of Kamala Harris being president should send a chill up every American spine.”

Haley’s statements were a call to her camp as she warned against former President Donald Trump’s candidacy. Highlighting the need for fresh leadership, the former governor also addressed the ongoing legal battles facing former President Donald Trump.

Despite their previous work together and shared policies, she stressed that the numerous indictments against Trump would likely keep him tied up in court rather than on the campaign trail, hence paving the way for Democrats to win the election.

“Donald Trump is a friend of mine. It was an honor to serve in the administration and work on foreign policy with him, and I agree with a lot of his policies. But the fact is, I don’t know if it’s four or five or six or how many indictments it is now, but he’s going to spend a lot of time in a courtroom and not on a campaign trail,” she stated.

Having appeared in the recent Republican debate in Milwaukee, Haley has been vocal about her reservations regarding Trump’s re-election. Speaking to Fox News’ Sean Hannity, she asserted that rectifying the perceived issues within the justice system requires a Republican win to move the nation forward. But the win, she believes, should not be coming from Trump.

“You can’t clean up Washington if Donald Trump is fighting issues of the past. We need a young generational conservative that’s going to go and clean up what they’ve done to Donald Trump but also carry our country forward,” she stated.

Despite rankings and polls placing Trump as the most likely candidate to win the GOP nomination, Haley believes the race is far from over and is determined to continue her efforts. Currently ranking fifth in a recent Fox News poll with 4% support, she remains confident that the race is only just beginning.
